Mr. Kitts contributes to spatial and economic analysis of agriculture and land-use change. His work focuses on how nutrient, water, and energy systems affect farmers’ decisions to switch to irrigated agriculture and what effect this has on the climate. He previously worked on clean energy development and sustainability issues in Boston. He earned his B.S. in Environmental Studies and Economics from Northeastern University.
